The Auditor General of Bhutan is attending a two-day Global Summit on ‘The Professionalisation of SAI Auditors’ in London. He will speak during the summit on developing sustainable audit practices and on the RAA’s (SAI of Bhutan) experience.
The IDI, ACCA and IFAC also launched a joint paper highlighting the need for public auditors to engage and define their role during the IDI Global Summit. The report, ‘Preparing for sustainability reporting and assurance: an introduction for the public sector globally’, explores why the public sector should undertake sustainability reporting and the importance of oversight of this information by government auditors.
The event is organised by the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI) and hosted by the National Audit Office of United Kingdom from 14 to 15 November 2023.
