The Hon. Auditor General led a two-member Delegation from the Royal Audit Authority to the XXIV International Congress of Supreme Audit Institutions (INCOSAI) being held from 07-11 November 2022 at the Sul América Convention Center in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
The Federal Court of Accounts, the Supreme Audit Institution of Brazil as the Chair of the INTOSAI is hosting the event. The two main themes for this Congress are “The work of Supreme Audit Institutions in the face of public calamities”, focusing on the Covid-19 pandemic, and “Global voice, global outcome, and far-reaching impact” which will bring strategies to communicate values and results of tax institutions.
The XXIV INCOSAI is an important event for the international auditing community that convenes once in three years to share experiences, discuss problems, and pass resolutions and recommendations to improve the accountability worldwide. It provides opportunity for SAIs to not only discuss the main agenda for next three years but also have bilateral, sideline meetings that is essential for cooperation, collaboration and mutual benefit among peer SAIs.
