The Royal Audit Authority (RAA) convened the Annual AAGs’ Meeting / 3rd Quarterly Review Meeting on 16–17 April 2025 to take stock of achievement, deliberate on key strategic and operational priorities, ensuring continued alignment with the institution’s long-term vision and national development goals.
Dasho Auditor General acknowledged the significant progress in the Annual Audit Schedule 2024-25 as of 15 April 2025 and encouraged all the audit teams of the Divisions and the Offices of the Assistant Auditors General (OAAGs) to continue striving towards 100% audit completion by the end of the fiscal year.
A key highlight of the meeting was the extensive discussion on the draft Audit Universe list. The floor reviewed and rationalised the categorisation of auditee agencies, reflecting current principles and practices. As part of the ongoing strategic planning process, the PPD also presented the draft Strategic Plan 2025–2030, including a proposed set of prioritisation criteria. The floor emphasised the importance of aligning the plan with national priorities and called for broader consultation by circulating the draft to all staff for further input.
Dasho Auditor General also underscored the importance of “doing more with less,” reiterating that limited manpower must not be seen as a constraint to achieving greater results. He stressed that innovation, efficiency, and technology adoption are essential to optimising outputs and thus, auditors were encouraged to leverage readily available tools such as Excel and data analysis software to enhance audit quality and productivity. The meeting concluded with a renewed sense of commitment towards enhancing audit effectiveness, institutional efficiency, and inclusive participation through informed, adaptive, and practical strategies.
